In light of the upcoming public Chinese New Year holiday from February 10th to February 17th, MCL is proactively collaborating with our overseas teams to develop strategic action plans. Recognizing the national significance of this holiday in both China and Taiwan, we are focused on identifying innovative approaches to mitigate any potential disruptions to production. Our commitment to finding alternative work methods reflects our dedication to ensuring continued operational efficiency during this festive season.
Chinese New Year follows the lunar calendar and varies in date each year. Originally established as a tribute to ancestors and heavenly deities, the celebration spans 15 days, culminating with the first full moon of the year.
The Chinese zodiac assigns each year to one of twelve animals. In 2024, the Year of the Dragon is embraced. Additionally, the Chinese New Year correlates each year with one of the five elements—earth, wood, fire, metal, and water. In 2024, the spotlight is on wood, designating it as the Year of the Wood Dragon.
As part of our proactive approach, we encourage forward-thinking and planning to prevent any potential disruptions to your production.
While the holiday itself takes place from February 10th to February 17th, the Chinese New Year closures span from February 3rd to February 18th based on last days to ship until production resumes. This may result in an additional 5-10 manufacturing days for overseas orders with lead times overlapping these dates. MCL is committed to minimizing delays and has domestic alternatives to support your needs during this period. Please be aware that these dates are current but subject to change.
