    Operations/Quality Specialist

    Candidate will work with Quality Assurance and the Operations team. This person will provide support to the operations team to provide suppliers with the tools/documents to process orders.  This individual will also support the quality team and eventually will be full time in the Quality department. This position is very project orientated, so the individual can expect every day to be different with changing responsibilities and priorities.

    Position Type:

    Full-time, non-exempt position located in Harrisburg, PA.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities

    1. Complete daily needs for order placement and administrative scrubbing.
    2. Creates packing slips using accounting software for shipment and sends to appropriate Suppliers for daily shipments.
    3. Assist as needed to Record weights and dates for outbound shipments from MCL warehouse
    4. Assist as needed to transfer C of C package from supplier folder to matching customer folder for outbound shipments from MCL warehouse.
    5. Assist the Quality Manager as needed to meet customer, internal, and supplier quality requirements.
    6. Assists in supporting all aspects of MCL’s ISO9001: 2015 Quality Management System.
    7. Assists in the completion of corrective actions for customers
    8. Reviews and edits supplier corrective action reports as needed prior to sending to the customer.
    9. Promotes MCL products and services to customers while communicating with customers and potential customers.
    10. Works to resolve product defects and other issues identified by customers or vendors in a timely manner.
    11. Performs other related job duties as required.

    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    In order to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this position, an individual must have very high reasoning ability.

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

     

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, accounting software, internet software, email software, design for manufacturing software, and order processing systems.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    The minimum level of education and/or experience required to satisfactorily perform this position is an Associate’s Degree and/or 3 or more years of related experience.

    An individual in this position uses standard office equipment such as a multi-line telephone, computer, printer, calculator, server, and copy and fax machine.
